Privacy policy
This notice explains how personal data is handled when you browse this portfolio or contact me about a project.
Who is responsible
The controller is Yehor Halytskyi, an individual based in Bratislava, Slovakia. For privacy requests: amdyehor@gmail.com; +421 952 475 820.
What is processed and why
The contact form sends your name, email address or phone number, optional company/project name, message and selected language to my inbox. I use these details to respond, clarify your needs and discuss possible cooperation, not for advertising. Providing them is voluntary; without a reply address I cannot respond. Please do not include passwords, payment details or sensitive personal data.
Legal grounds
Project enquiries are processed to take steps at your request before a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Other correspondence and protection against abuse rely on legitimate interests in business communication and site security (Article 6(1)(f)).
Hosting, email and recipients
The site uses Heroku hosting (Salesforce), Brevo for email delivery and Google/Gmail for the receiving inbox. These providers handle data as needed to run the site and deliver/store correspondence. The application does not keep a database of form submissions. Hosting and email providers may keep technical logs, including IP addresses, request times and delivery events. Data is not sold.
Storage and international processing
Correspondence is retained while needed to answer the enquiry and decide on cooperation, then deleted unless needed for an ongoing project, a legal obligation or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. Provider log and backup retention follows the relevant service settings and terms. Providers may process data outside the EEA; the applicable transfer mechanism depends on their service and contractual terms. Contact me for details about recipients and applicable safeguards.
Browser storage and cookies
The site code does not use advertising cookies, analytics or tracking pixels. It stores only your language preference under portfolio-language in localStorage until you clear site data. The anti-spam limiter temporarily keeps an IP address and request timestamps in server memory in a 15-minute window; stale entries are periodically removed. It does not store message content. Fonts and portfolio images are served locally.
Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or, where applicable, portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Write to the email above. Requests are normally answered within one month. You may complain to your local supervisory authority or the Slovak Personal Data Protection Office. There is no automated decision-making or profiling.
